Export from MachiningCloud

  1. In MachiningCloud, select any tool, assembly, job, or other item configuration and select “Export”
  2. In the export dialog, select the option for “Vericut” or “Custom Export”
    • Vericut option
      • Only exports the AntiCollision (simplified representation) assembly model files for import into Vericut’s Tool Manager
    • Custom Export
      • Allows for exporting both AntiCollision and Rendered assembly model files for import into Vericut’s Tool Manager
      • Recommended Custom configuration:
  1. In your notifications, you will see your export available for download. Select “Download File”

Import to VERICUT

Vericut 8.0

  1. Open Tool Manager, Import Tools, MachiningCloud Tool
  2. Browse to the downloaded .zip file
  3. Import
  4. For additional info on the options within the MachiningCloud Interface, press F1 for Vericut Help

Vericut 8.2

    1. Open Tool Manager, Import Tools, MachiningCloud Tool
    2. (New functionality)
      • Workpiece Material column – Displays the Workpiece Material defined in MachiningCloud
      • Stock Material Record column – Assign the Stock Material Record for the tools to use with Vericut optimization
      • Import Tool ID from – Allows for selection of that field to use for the Tool ID in Tool Manager
    3. Browse to the downloaded .zip file
    4. Import
    5. For additional info on the options within the MachiningCloud Interface, press F1 for Vericut Help

Vericut 9.6 (Coming summer 2025)

  1. Open Tool Manager, Import Tools, MachiningCloud Tool
  2. (New functionality)
    • Tool Number column – Displays the Tool No. field set in MachiningCloud
      • (Tool Number field is optional to add in MachiningCloud)
    • Import Tool ID from – Now includes option to use Tool No. field for the Tool ID in Tool Manager
  3. Browse to the downloaded .zip file
  4. Import
  5. For additional info on the options within the MachiningCloud Interface, press F1 for Vericut Help
